Pipe or drain leakage occurs in different components of a distribution system: transmission pipes, distribution pipes, service connection pipes, joints, valves, and fire hydrants.
Leaking Pipes

The damage suffered as a result of leaking pipes should not be underestimated - a 0.5mm leak could lose 20 litres of water every hour.

Even if a leaking pipe is noticed, the cost and disruption associated with locating the source could be considerable. Too often walls and floors are unnecessarily damaged, and there are no guarantees that the leak will be found.

How do you know you have a leaking pipe?Leaking Pipe

  • water is dripping or spurting around the tap after it has been turned off
  • your water bill is costing you much more than the previous one
  • damp, wet and/or corrosive areas appear
  • there is rotted wood or broken concrete around the area

Leaks occur for some of the following reasonsCorroded Water Pipe
